How it is cut
We sew this cover to fit over soft carriers and hip seats. The shell uses water shedding pongee, backed by layered open mesh across the inner face. Elastic loops and a rear buckle hold the piece against the carrier straps without adding bulk between you and the child. The Gray Rabbit cloth packs down into its own drawstring pouch.
Pongee outer cloth
The outer panel uses tightly woven polyester pongee that sheds light rain and cuts the wind. We sew it with a soft gray rabbit finish that wipes clean with a damp rag after a walk.
Layered inner mesh
The inner facing uses open weave mesh sewn in multiple layers. Air moves through the knit freely, so moisture dries quickly rather than clinging to clothing during long carries on warm afternoons.
Two way lower zip
A two way zip runs the full width of the bottom hem. You can leave the foot area fully closed or pull the sliders apart to let little feet extend out into the open.
Elastic loops and pouch
Elastic loops button around the shoulder straps of your carrier, while a back buckle keeps the sides flat. When not in use, the entire shell folds into the matching storage bag.
