How it is cut
We built this ladder frame from molded plastic with seven height positions along the legs to meet standard, elongated, V, U, and O-shaped bowls. The padded ring includes a tall forward splash flap and side hand grips. When not set over the toilet, the frame separates to serve as a freestanding sink step.
Seven position ladder legs
Push buttons along the side struts adjust the step height across seven notched stops. The feet rest flat against the bathroom floor, lined with textured pads underneath to resist sliding.
Padded seat and splash rim
The top ring is lined with a smooth, wipeable cushion that lifts away when washing. A raised front lip catches splashes, and side handles give hands a place to rest.
Wide textured step
The broad foot platform gives ample room for turning and climbing, with textured inserts across the tread for grip. The piece also unhooks to stand alone at the wash basin.
Flat folding frame
Both side arms fold inward along the hinges when the ladder is lifted away from the bowl. It packs flat against a wall or tucks behind a door between uses.
