How it is cut
We cut this carrier cover from light gray polyester pongee that sheds wind and rain, lined inside with soft coral fleece. Buckle straps clip around shoulder harnesses and waist bands without shifting the carrier beneath. A zip bottom lets little feet poke through when needed.
Detachable hood panel
The hood buttons off or reverses so it works whether the child faces inward or forward. An elastic cord gathers the rim to sit close around the head.
Bottom foot zips
Two separate zips run across the lower seam. You can open them partially for shoes to hang free or keep them closed to seal the bottom like a bunting bag.
Outer hand pocket
We stitched a wide pass-through pocket across the front shell. It gives you a place to rest your hands against the fleece lining and hold keys or small items.
Pongee shell and fleece
The light gray woven outer cloth repels water while the high-pile coral fleece interior holds its loft. It packs down into the included drawstring storage pouch between outings.
