How it is cut
We sew these mittens to fasten directly onto the stroller bar so hands slide in and out freely. The outer layer uses a dark black pongee cloth that sheds wet winter slush. Inside, we layer hollow polyester padding against a heavy berber fleece.
Snap fastener layout
Metal snaps fold the outer edges over the handlebar and lock together. The mittens stay attached to the bar when you pull your hands out, leaving both hands free without dropping gloves onto the pavement.
Pongee outer cloth
The dark black exterior is cut from woven pongee that blocks chilly drafts and sheds rain or melted snow. It wipes clean with a damp rag after a walk in wet weather.
Berber fleece lining
We line the inside with a thick, loopy berber fleece over polyester fiberfill padding. The lofty pile traps still air around the fingers while keeping the inner chamber soft to the touch.
Machine washing
The mittens go into the washing machine on a cold, gentle cycle when soiled. Air drying flat restores the inner loft, and the set packs away into the included storage bag between seasons.
