How it is cut
We cut this canopy from a soft, open-weave polyester knit that stretches over the carrier handle and down around the base. A front zip lets you reach straight in, while the center panel opens to expose a fine mesh window. Hook and loop tabs hold the outer flap rolled at the top.
Open weave knit
We chose a stretch knit cloth with a loose, airy weave. It pulls over the carrier frame without bunching and shakes out smooth after folding.
Front entry zip
A central zipper runs down the front panel so you can lift a child out without removing the cover. The whole piece stays anchored in place while the flap folds aside.
Drop down mesh window
Behind the solid gray flap sits a fine mesh panel. Hook and loop tabs keep the outer cover pinned up when you want full view through the weave.
Top buckle anchors
We sew buckle straps at the crown that loop around the carry handle, pairing them with an elasticized edge that hugs the rim of the shell.
