How it is cut
We sew this liner from open-weave cotton in flat gray. It rests directly in the seat shell, anchored with two side cords and cutouts for three-point harness straps. When it needs freshening, you undo the ties and lift the whole piece out.
Open-weave cotton panel
We stitch the main body from plain woven cotton in a light gray thread. The weave stays open and flat, giving you an unpadded layer that adds no bulk behind the harness.
Three-point strap cutouts
The central openings are bound along the edges with matching tape. Shoulder and crotch straps thread through the pre-cut slots without bunching the cotton fabric around the buckles.
Side cord ties
Two pairs of cotton cords are sewn directly into the side seams. You knot them around the seat frame to hold the liner flat against the interior curve.
Washing the cloth
Unlace the side ties and lift the cotton layer off the harness. You can run it through a machine cycle with cold water, then hang the piece flat to dry.
