How it is cut
We sew this canopy from fine black polyester mesh with an open weave. An elastic band runs all the way around the outer rim so the cloth drapes over the frame and gathers underneath. We pack three identical nets together so one is always ready while another is in the wash.
Fine polyester mesh
The mesh is woven light and open from black polyester thread. Air moves through the pores while the grid pattern stays clear across the canopy, so you can look straight through to the seat beneath.
Continuous elastic hem
A single run of elastic is sewn into the outer hem. It stretches wide to pull across the frame of a bassinet or stroller, then draws back in underneath the rim to hold the mesh in place.
Three pack bundle
We sew and pack three of the same black nets together. You can keep one stretched over the stroller, drape another over a travel crib, and stow the third folded flat in a bag.
Washing and folding
The cloth rinses clean in cool water and dries fast on a line. When taken off the frame, each net scrunches down into a palm sized bundle that takes up very little room in a pocket.
