How it is cut
We built this cooling pad to lay flat across the bucket of an empty car seat before you head out. Four individual ice packs slide into dedicated slots lined with waterproof cloth, holding cold against the fabric until you lift the pad away. When not in the seat, it folds down and snaps shut.
Waterproof inner cloth
We line the internal pack pockets with a waterproof backing cloth. This barrier stops condensation from soaking through into the seat cushions while the frozen gel sits against the upholstery.
Four hydrogel pockets
The pad holds four polymer gel inserts distributed across the backrest and base area. You add water once to turn the dry polymer into gel, then slide each pack into its sewn pocket before freezing.
Hanging hooks
We stitch attachment hooks directly into the top edge of the pad. These hook over the upper rim of the seat shell to keep the cooling surface hanging flat while the empty seat cools down.
Folding snap closure
The panels fold in along the sewn divide lines into a compact bundle. A snap tab holds the folded shape together so it sits flat in a freezer or slips into a travel bag.
