How it is cut
A deep blue Oxford cloth covers the aluminum frame of this table chair. We built the seat with a padded cotton cushion and paired it with a five point harness that has wide shoulder pads. The whole assembly folds flat into its travel bag.
Five point harness
We stitch wide padded mats directly over the shoulder webbing. The harness meets at a center buckle, holding the child upright against the padded back panel without raw strap edges resting against the neck.
Aluminum clamp frame
The arms clamp straight onto the table edge using aluminum alloy hardware finished in a smooth coat. It locks down firmly without adding bulk, and the metal pieces fold down into the seat frame for packing.
Oxford cloth and mesh
The shell uses blue 600D Oxford cloth that wipes clean between meals. In the base of the seat, we inset a panel of open mesh cloth over the cotton cushion to keep air moving beneath the child.
Removable seat cushion
The fabric seat slips off the metal framework when dinner gets messy. You can run the cloth parts through the washing machine on a gentle cycle and hang them up to dry before rebuilding the frame.
