How it is cut
We shaped this canopy extension to follow the frame of the Doona car seat and stroller. The solid overhead panel pairs with dense woven mesh along the sides to cut bright daylight. You can leave the whole piece mounted when switching the seat into stroller mode.
Detachable side panels
We sew the side panels from a dense open weave mesh and attach them with running zips. You can unzip each flank completely or roll it upward to the top canopy when you want an open view into the seat.
Side toggle anchors
We use side toggles to anchor the shade directly onto the shell. The loops hold the cloth taut across the arch of the original hood so the fabric does not shift or flap loose when a cross breeze picks up.
Fixed mode transitions
We tailored the clearance so the shade stays attached when you deploy or retract the wheels. The framing clears the moving joints, meaning you do not have to unhook the toggles every time you move between the car and the pavement.
Easy fold access
The front edge flips back over the top arch in one movement. That gives you clear room to lift the child straight out of the harness without undoing the toggle mounts or pulling the shade off the frame.
