How it is cut
This cover pulls over the shell of an infant carrier like a fitted cap, leaving the harness underneath untouched. We cut the outer shell from a woven cloth that sheds rain and snow, then line the inside with thick coral fleece. The front panel unzips completely when you move indoors.
Elastic outer hem
We run a continuous band of elastic through the bottom casing so the skirt grips the outer rim of the seat. It stretches on over the carrier and pulls off cleanly without unthreading straps.
Two way front zip
The long front zip runs the full length of the top panel. You can pull the slider up from the base to free little feet, or unzip the entire piece and lift it off.
Fold back collar
Buttons along the upper opening hold the top flap in place when folded down. Button it high across the chest in windy weather, or turn the collar down when you need more room open.
Plush fleece lining
We line the inside with dark gray coral fleece certified to OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 for soft loft. The whole piece goes into the home washing machine on a gentle cycle.
