Goes over: infant carrier shells. Read off our own listing for this piece.
How it is cut
We sew this cover to slip over the rim of an infant carrier and stay put with an elastic hem. The front panel unzips down the middle so you can fold it open without peeling the whole piece off the seat. Inside, thick lofted fill sits between a smooth outer shell and a soft plush lining.
Memory cloth and lining
The outer shell uses a smooth memory cloth that sheds water and cuts the breeze. Behind it, a layer of bonded batting adds loft, and a plush lining faces inward across the whole underside.
Full front zip
A long center zip runs down the front apron. You pull it down partway to fold the flap open, or run it all the way to seat the child while the edges stay wrapped around the carrier.
Side mesh vents
We set two mesh panels into the sides of the hood. They sit behind the main fabric to let air move through the upper chamber when the front flap stays closed.
Elastic rim and wash
The deep lower skirt runs on an enclosed elastic cord with side buckles to grip around the shell. For washing, run the piece through a gentle cold cycle and line dry.
