How it is cut
We cut this cover to pull over the infant seat carrier from above. The elastic hem stretches wide across the frame while the inner layer sits in soft crystal velvet against the fill. A front zip opens down the middle so the seat stays covered while you reach inside. Black outer cloth sheds moisture and wind.
Elastic hem and buckle
An elastic perimeter pulls down over the outer shell of the carrier without interfering with the harness inside. Nylon straps with buckles fasten underneath the frame to hold the hem in place when pulled tight.
Two way front zip
The center zip runs from top to bottom. You can open the panel halfway to check inside, or unzip it fully so a child goes in and out while the outer cover remains on the seat.
Side mesh vents
We set open-weave mesh windows into both side panels. These let air move through the cabin when the top window is closed, fastened down with hook-and-loop tabs along the seam.
Shell and fill
The black outer cloth uses memory fabric backed by resin cotton batting to block wind and shed wet weather. Inside, the entire ceiling and walls are lined with smooth crystal velvet that washes on a cold cycle.
