How it is cut
We cut this cover to stretch directly over the outer frame of an infant carrier. The back stays open around the harness while a long front zip lets you reach in without shifting the outer edge. The shell uses black pongee cloth certified to OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 over a short plush inner lining.
Shower cap perimeter
A wide elastic band gathers around the rim of the carrier. Nothing sits behind the child, so harness straps lie directly where the seat maker intended them to rest.
Dual pull zip
The center zip opens all the way down through the front panel. You can lift the child out or lay them inside without peeling the hem off the seat shell.
Fold back flap
A shaped flap turns back from the face opening when you want it open. It snaps or tucks flat, and pulls back down when the wind picks up.
Pongee and plush
Water runs off the smooth woven shell while the short plush beneath holds loft. The whole piece folds into a flat square and goes into a cold machine wash.
