How it is cut
We cut this cold weather cover from black pongee cloth lined with thick faux sheepskin fleece. The elastic hem stretches over the carrier rim like a cap, leaving the harness paths open behind. Two snaps fold down the top panel when you want fresh air inside.
Pongee and sheepskin
The outer shell is a woven black pongee that sheds light drizzle, certified to OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100. Inside, we line the whole piece with heavy faux sheepskin fleece that holds loft without adding padding behind the harness straps.
Cap fit and harness slots
A wide elastic band runs the whole circumference of the skirt to pull over the outer frame of the seat. Vertical hook and loop openings in the back panel let three-point and five-point harness straps thread through directly.
Double front zip
The front closure runs down both sides to the foot. You can unzip from the bottom to check shoes or pull both runners all the way around so the front panel opens out flat as a small floor blanket.
Snap back fold
Two heavy metal snaps hold the upper chest flap folded down away from the face. When the wind picks up, unsnap the collar and pull the fabric flat to cover the opening across the front.
