How it is cut
We cut this cover to stretch over the outer shell of an infant carrier like a shower cap. The outer cloth is a black memory fabric backed with resin cotton fill and plush crystal velvet. A center zip runs the length of the top panel so you can reach inside without pulling the elastic off the rim.
Elastic rim and buckle
A wide band of gathered elastic runs the entire outer hem to grip under the carrier rim. We added adjustable nylon buckle straps on the sides to hold the skirt firmly against the shell without shifting during use.
Dual layer front window
The upper window is built with two layers. An open mesh under-panel permits airflow, while a solid cloth outer flap folds back and fastens with hook-and-loop tabs when you want the view open.
Full center zipper
Our two-way front zip opens straight down the center line. You can undo the top slightly to look in, or open the run completely so a child lifts straight in and out while the cover stays mounted.
Memory cloth and fill
The black outer cloth sheds water droplets and blocks wind over a soft batting core. The entire piece goes into a washing machine on a cold gentle cycle and dries flat on a rack.
