How it is cut
We sew this canopy from light gray cationic cloth with a soft velvet lining and bonded resin cotton fill between the layers. The piece pulls down over the infant carrier frame using an elastic outer hem, leaving the harness paths untouched. A two-way zip and a fold-back flap let you tend to your child without slipping the shell off the seat.
Elastic outer hem
The bottom hem runs continuous elastic through a stitched channel to wrap around the rim of the carrier shell. It draws on from the top and holds position with adjustable side buckles without adding bulk beneath the child.
Front zip access
A long zip runs along the front opening so the panel folds wide. You can lift your baby in or out, check on them, or adjust their shoes without taking the canopy off the frame.
Dual window flap
We sew a fine mesh panel directly beneath the outer light gray flap. Roll the fabric flap back and fix it with hook-and-loop tabs to let air through while the mesh stays in place over the opening.
Lining and wash care
The inner layer is a soft crystal velvet backed with resin cotton loft to block drafts. Wash the whole piece on a cold cycle in the machine or by hand, then lay it flat to dry.
