How it is cut
We sew this cover to slip over the rim of an infant seat like a shower cap. The back remains open so nothing sits under the harness straps. Black pongee cloth faces the weather on the outside, backed by thick coral fleece across the interior.
Elastic hem fit
A continuous band of elastic runs through the outer edge. It stretches over the frame of the carrier and grips underneath the rim, holding the cloth in place without clips or ties.
Center front zipper
The front panel splits open with a long zip down the middle. You can reach the harness and lift the child out without pulling the elastic casing off the seat frame.
Pongee and fleece
The shell is cut from black pongee cloth certified to OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100, which sheds wind and water. Inside, we line the main panel with high-loft coral fleece and a plush collar.
Washing and folding
The cover collapses flat to tuck into a tote bag between outings. When the fleece needs cleaning, run the entire piece through the washing machine on a cold gentle cycle.
