How it is cut
We cut this cover to slip over the carrier rim like a shower cap, leaving the seat harness untouched behind it. The outer cloth is dark gray pongee certified to OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100, backed with dense short plush. A center zip runs the length of the front panel.
Elastic skirt edge
The skirt gathers with a continuous elastic band that seats under the shell rim. Nothing sits between the child and the back of the carrier, and the cover pulls away in one movement when you come indoors.
Center front zip
A long front zip opens the face of the cover from top to bottom. You can settle the baby in and fasten the seat harness without taking the outer shell off the carrier frame.
Fold back flap
We added an upper flap that pulls forward over the opening when the wind picks up. It folds flat against the collar when you want the face open to the air.
Washing and packing
The pongee cloth and plush lining fold down small enough to tuck into a bag pocket. When winter slush splatters the hem, the whole piece goes through a cold machine wash cycle and dries on the line.
