How it is cut
We cut this cover to slip directly over the rim of an infant carrier. The elastic skirt gathers around the outer edge, leaving the harness free beneath it. A center zip runs down the front panel so you can reach in without pulling the whole piece off the seat.
Shower cap hem
A continuous ring of elastic runs through the bottom edge. It stretches over the plastic rim of the seat and gathers tight underneath, holding the fabric in place around the carrier body.
Center zip opening
The front seam opens with a long zip down the center. You unzip both sides to lift the front panel back, which leaves the interior open when placing the baby into the harness.
Plush inner cloth
The inside face is lined with a short plush fabric certified to OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100. It adds loft behind the windproof outer pongee shell without adding bulk beneath the child.
Washing and pack down
The entire piece folds down flat enough to tuck into a diaper bag. When the outer shell picks up dirt or slush, you wash it in cold water on a gentle cycle and hang it to dry.
