How it is cut
We cut this cover to stretch down over the rim of an infant car seat like a shower cap. The outer polyester sheds drizzle and snow, while thick Berber fleece lines the inside. Nothing goes between the child and the harness straps, and the front panel unzips down the center when you step indoors.
Elastic skirt and slots
A deep elastic hem pulls down over the outer plastic shell. We sew vertical side openings and bottom slots with hook-and-loop closures so the cover fits around carry handles and seat frames without bunching.
Two-way front zip
The long front zipper runs the full length of the top panel. You can open it from the foot end to check small feet or zip it all the way off to use as a flat lap blanket.
Buttoned fleece collar
The upper neck flap folds back and fastens with buttons to stay open. When pulled high, the thick fleece collar meets at the top to block cold drafts from reaching the chest.
Washing and care
Sewn from polyester certified to OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100, the entire black cover goes into a cold machine wash on a gentle cycle. We recommend line drying to preserve the loft of the fleece.
